Description

As a CAD Technician, you will create electronic design plans using computer software and work closely with Engineers to turn blueprints and technical drawings into 2D/3D computer models.

Department: Transportation

Location: Las Cruces, NM

Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 / hour

Core Responsibilities:

1. Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to engineers and project managers
2. Drafting and design work for projects across multiple disciplines
3. Work in structural detailing, site plans, drainage, grading, utilities, SWPPP, and related items
4. Create/Modify technical drawings of roads, bridges, pipelines, etc.
5. Collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy of drawings
6. Maintain the entire plan set of technical drawings

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

1. Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D required
2. Manage project data files from various sources
3. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; think 3D
4. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
5. Team-focused, professional, creative
6. Enthusiastic, dedicated, self-disciplined in a fast-paced environment
7. Associates degree or equivalent technical degree (a plus)
8. 6+ years’ experience
