Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced bridal seamstress to guide brides through the full alteration journey, from fittings to final adjustments, on an independent contractor basis. Bookings are provided through our platform and schedules are set by you within platform guidelines.

You will work directly with brides, managing expectations, timelines, and tailoring details for high-value gowns and related ceremony attire.

Qualificações

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcomed).
• Confidence working with high-value gowns and the patience to fit them properly.
• Strong customer-facing presence — brides remember the seamstress who calmed their nerves.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns.
• Customize gowns for each bride: hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, sleeve modifications.
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
• Handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire alongside the main gown.
• Walk brides through what is possible with their dress, timelines, and what to expect on the day.
