Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced bridal seamstress to work one-on-one with brides through the entire alteration process as an independent contractor. Bookings are provided through our platform.

You will conduct first, second, and final fittings, customize gowns (hemming, seams, bodice shaping, neckline, sleeves), create bustles, and assist with bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride attire, guiding brides through timelines and what to expect on the day.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience; portfolio or references welcomed.
• Ability to work with high-value wedding gowns and fit them precisely.
• Strong customer-facing presence to reassure brides.

Responsabilités

• Conduct fittings for wedding gowns (first, second, and final).
• Customize gowns: hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, sleeve modifications.
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
• Handle bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire alongside the main gown.
• Walk brides through what is possible with their dress, what timelines look like, and what to expect on the day.
