Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards and provide exceptional customer service. You will work with stylists to advise on gown fit and customization, maintain the alterations room, and ensure all garments are inspected before delivery.

Face-to-face, phone, and virtual interactions are common as you welcome clients, manage alterations schedules, and resolve issues with a friendly, professional approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
• POS system experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, communicates clearly and concisely adapting style to suit customers by problem solving.
• Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver five-star customer experience.
• Maintain all service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, Meet the Needs & Be There for all our customers, including all operational checklist tasks.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers at once and support store goals for five-star service.
• Address customer concerns confidently and know when to escalate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations can enhance dresses in partnership with Alterations; promote services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards for a flawless shopping experience.
• Keep alterations area clean, organized, and within Dress Code Policy.
