Job summary

New Belgium Brewing Company Inc is seeking an experienced Engineer to oversee design, construction, maintenance, and optimization of brewery infrastructure and equipment. You will contribute to Brewery Design, Packaging, Utility Systems, and capital projects, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, supporting PLC/HMI controls, coordinating with vendors, and managing budgets and schedules to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 7+ years of experience.
• Knowledge in brewing and food and beverage engineering practices.
• Experience delivering engineering projects and P&ID development.
• Strong project management and financial management skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to design mechanical systems and understand process/electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, testing, and communication of new processes or equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in engineering processes.
• Identify and resolve equipment, production, or process issues and document changes.
• Support PLC/HMI control systems design with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, ProLeiT.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and review PLC/HMI logic for safe operation.
• Monitor progress against project plans and support budgets and schedules.
• Develop analyses and vendor management for capital projects.
• Ensure safety targets are met.
