Job summary

City Brewing Company seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program and test PLC/HMI software for high-speed packaging equipment, and to troubleshoot electrical and control systems across production and warehousing spaces.

You will mentor controls technicians, collaborate with operations leadership, ensure GMP compliance, and update schematics with AutoCAD Electrical as part of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years’ experience in PLC controls engineering in lieu of degree.
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and motion controls.
• Proficiency with RS Logix 500 and Studio 5000.
• Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Experience in system/process controls, line balancing, and drives.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC/HMI software for packaging equipment.
• Test and debug control systems.
• Create/update electrical schematics in CAD (AutoCAD Electrical).
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on the production floor.
• Mentor and coach controls technicians; support operations leadership with improvement opportunities.

Education

Electrical Engineering degree or 5+ years PLC controls experience
