Job summary

City Brewery has an immediate opening for a Brewing Associate in La Crosse, WI. This role operates and supervises brewing equipment, batches ingredients, and conducts basic lab tests to ensure quality and safety. The position reports to the Brewing Department and requires adherence to GMP, HAACP, and safety protocols.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enjoy fast-paced, self-managed team environments.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Food/beverage manufacturing experience preferred.
• Motivated, self-directed, able to work autonomously in a loud production setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and automated equipment in the Brewing Department safely and efficiently.
• Batch dry and liquid ingredients and monitor processes.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and record data.
• Load/unload tanker trucks and complete paperwork per FDA requirements.
• Conduct CIP tank and line cleanings; ensure GMP and HAACP compliance.
• Maintain sanitation with appropriate chemical use and PPE.
• Troubleshoot systems and procedures as needed.
• Train incoming operators once qualified.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary

City Brewery has immediate opening for a brewing associate. This position is responsible for operating various manual and automated manufacturing equipment within the Brewing Department. You will be responsible for doing so safely and efficiently while ensuring consistent quality is delivered for our customers. This position will work closely with fellow operations from team members, electro-mechanics, and electricians.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manually batch dry and liquid ingredients.
• Operation of pumps, valves, and sequences.
• Performance of basic laboratory testing and data recording.
• Loading and unloading of tanker trucks and completion of necessary paperwork in compliance with FDA regulations.
• Perform tank and line cleanings using a CIP system.
• General cleaning following a master sanitation scheduled with use of chemicals and pressure hoses.
• Troubleshoot systems and procedures as needed.
• Follow all good manufacturing practices and HAACP guidelines.
• Safely perform all work tasks; wear all required PPE.
• Once qualified, will be required to train incoming operators.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by adherence to company policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, self-managed team environment.
• Previous experience with operating a forklift preferred.
• Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Highly motivated, self-directed worker that can work autonomously in a fast-paced and often loud food production environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
