Job summary

Cold Spring Brewing in Cold Spring, MN is seeking Lead positions in Bottle Shop Production to support the Production Manager and Supervisors, training new team members and ensuring plant processes meet production targets.

The role is full-time, day shift on a 12-hour schedule (6a-6p) with a 2-2-3 rotation, requiring strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP and GMP/HACCP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Monitors activities in area of responsibility during shift.
• Trains and leads, and communicates effectively with coworkers.
• Works to minimize changeover time.
• Ensures that every detail and specification of each product is met.
• Assists in implementing directives of management with assigned workforce.
• Assist managers in documentation and record keeping for area assigned.
• Performs appropriate tests on product and processes.
• Keeps track of assigned inventory and notifies warehouse when low.
• Maintains proper sanitation, tracking chemicals used and concentrations.
• Helps evaluate and suggest continuous improvement of processes.
• Learns and applies new processes and procedures.
• Ensures equipment is maintained and working properly at peak efficiency.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor/customer.
• Adhere to GMP and Food Safety.

Summary

These Lead positions are responsible to assist Bottle Shop Production Manager and Production Supervisors in training new employees in these areas along with ensuring plant processes in their assigned area is being met to help exceed customer expectations and continue to meet productivity goals.

What You Need to Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret in English.
• Have a strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
• Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulationsKnowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
• 2-3 years’ experience in a high speed Production environment

Job Setting

This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods, walking on occasionally slippery floors, and handling equipment or materials.

Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.

The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 50lbs regularly.
• Extended standing on hard surfaces.
• Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
• Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
• Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands, feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Works in a production and warehouse environment, including forklifts, equipment, and damp floors
• Frequently exposed to working near mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
