Job summary

BBQ Holdings, Inc. in Naperville, IL is seeking a brewery production operator responsible for wort production and equipment maintenance. You will perform milling, mashing, lautering, wort boil, cooling, and transfer to storage vessels.

Responsibilities include cleaning, yeast propagation, inventory management, and ensuring quality with Lab support. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required, along with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Brewing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, days, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete brewing process in a safe and efficient manner (milling, mashing, lautering, wort boil, cooling, transfer).
• Repair brewery equipment with assistance from other Brewhouse employees.
• Complete daily cleaning and maintenance checklists.
• Aid with yeast propagation following Company's process.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas in the brew house.
• Work with Lab Technician to ensure our product meets quality standards.
• Maintain use of standard operating procedures unless otherwise instructed.
• Communicate regularly with Granite City staff.
• Maintain inventory and report low levels to supervisor.
• Arrive on time with a positive attitude and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
