Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Breeder Service Technician to support breeder flock health, welfare and productivity. You will provide technical guidance to contract growers, implement best practices for breeder bird management and ensure adherence to biosecurity, nutrition and welfare protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science (or similar field) preferred; experience may substitute for education.
• 2–5 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular farm inspections to verify adherence to company standards.
• Provide technical guidance and development programs to assist growers.
• Lead safety meetings to promote compliance and risk prevention.
• Coordinate movement of pullets and ensure biosecurity measures.
• Perform field vaccinations and medications as needed.
• Weigh, handle, and evaluate pullets, hens, and males.
• Monitor hen productivity metrics and identify trends.
• Collect and transport hatching eggs and monitor hatchability.
