Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Broiler Service Technician to support flock health, welfare, and performance in line with PPC animal care and production standards. You will advise growers, implement bird management best practices, and ensure biosecurity and nutrition protocols are followed.

The role requires a BS in Poultry Science (or related), 2–5 years’ related experience, and a valid driver's license. Expect to lift 50 lbs and work with fast-paced production environments in Sanford, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science or similar field preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Current driver's license and good driving record required.
• 2-5 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, written and verbal.
• Solid math and analytical abilities for problem-solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the Company and contract growers, ensuring strong communication and support.
• Monitor flock health and husbandry practices, providing recommendations to improve bird welfare and performance.
• Track, record, and analyze flock data, including mortality rates, feed consumption, and growth trends.
• Maintain feed inventories and coordinate feed orders to ensure timely and accurate supply.
• Ensure biosecurity and company protocols compliance, conducting regular farm inspections.
