Job summary

Highland Hospital of Rochester NY is seeking a certified ultrasound technologist specializing in breast imaging. You will perform diagnostic breast ultrasound exams and assist in interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with an associate degree or certificate in sonography, RDMS eligibility, and completion of an approved training program. Registry exam within 1 year of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent with an associate degree or certificate in sonography.
• Must complete an approved training program in sonography to be registry eligible.
• Must pass registry exam to become a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS).
• Experience: 1 year clinical rotation or equivalent work experience in sonography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of breast disease.
• Assist in interventional procedures using breast ultrasound.
• Provide a written sonographer impression for all exams and document accurately in MagView.
• Maintain quality imaging and accurate documentation in the patient record.
