Job summary

The Surgical Scheduling Specialist Breast Surgery at Moffitt Cancer Center coordinates patient appointments across multiple resources to facilitate accurate scheduling for breast surgery. Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a hospital, outpatient facility or physician office or related healthcare.
• Plus at least one year customer service experience.
• Medical terminology required; computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical cases for assigned providers and clinical areas.
• Review surgical orders for accuracy and arrange pre-op and ancillary services.
• Maintain timely communication with patients, families and the surgical team.
• Provide high level customer service and support across departments; assist as a preceptor for new hires.
