Job summary

The Oncology Territory Manager for Breast in Los Angeles represents Daiichi Sankyo to physicians and other healthcare stakeholders, promoting approved indications and providing disease state and product information. You will develop and execute business plans, analyze market trends, and maintain expert product knowledge while building strong key account relationships.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in pharmaceutical sales, oncology experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4 or more years of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
• 4 or more years of oncology therapeutic experience preferred.
• 1 or more years of additional therapeutic experience in training, marketing or market access.
• Oncology product launch experience preferred.
• Copromotion experience a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Represents the assigned products to health care professionals in the territory.
• Achieves or exceeds sales objectives through promotion of product features and benefits.
• Develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
• Apply knowledge of healthcare industry, trends, laws, regulations and payer landscape.
• Demonstrate understanding of clinical pathways and their influence on treatment.
• Analyze customer needs and territory performance to optimize commercial potential.
• Maintain expert understanding of disease states, brands, and competitors.
• Complete all assigned training and stay current on products.
• Serve as disease state expert and provide high level product expertise and service.
• Communicate regularly with District Manager and peers.
• Build relationships with customers and key opinion leaders.
• Meet administrative expectations including budgets, reporting, and communication.
• Maintain target lists and update customer database; plan calls to meet goals.
• Review territorial reports and learn to use reports to meet goals.
• Submit reports on time and inform District Manager of market matters.
• Maintain equipment and territorial records; use sales force automation to enhance calls.
• Adhere to compliance and operating principles.
