Job summary

Charlotte Radiology, a leading imaging provider in Charlotte, NC, seeks a PRN Mammography Specialist to manage breast navigation operations within the mammography environment. You will collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and cancer care teams to ensure timely communication of pathology results and seamless referrals.

Eligible candidates typically have 3–5 years of diagnostic mammography experience, ARRT Mammography certification, and an associate degree in radiologic technology.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of diagnostic mammography experience.
• ARRT certification in Mammography.
• Associate degree in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Reviews diagnostic biopsy reports and reconciles with pathology results.
• Contacts patients to inform them of biopsy results and coordinate surgical referrals.
• Works with referring practices to schedule surgery for positive biopsy patients.
• Coordinates with Mecklenburg Health Department to ensure insured patients access care and Medicaid prior to biopsy.
• Directs outside ultrasound and biopsy-related referrals to appropriate imaging facilities.
• Maintains a database of preferred surgical offices to expedite care.
