Job summary

The University of Washington Health System invites applications for a full-time breast health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center Campus. Faculty appointment at Teaching Associate rank with a winter 2027 start.

The APP/PA will work four clinic days per week with one administrative day, evaluating new breast complaints, managing high-risk surveillance, and pre/post-operative patients.

Qualifications

• Current WA State ARNP license for Nursing Practitioners or PA-C licensure.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification and DEA eligibility.
• Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with surgeons and other clinicians to ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Perform and document H&Ps for breast health patients.
• Evaluate pre- and post-operative patients and long-term surveillance.
• Perform in-office procedures (e.g., needle aspiration, skin biopsies, injections).
• Educate patients, caregivers, and peers about treatment plans and prognosis.
• Coordinate care with the treatment team and participate in rounds and committees.
