Job summary

The University of Washington School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time academic breast surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, without tenure by reason of funding (WOT), with a Summer/Fall 2027 start. The role supports UW Medical Center and Fred Hutch Cancer Center within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• MD degree (or foreign equivalent).
• Board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) by the American Board of Surgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington.
• USMLE steps completed (or equivalent) for H-1B visa sponsorship eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of benign and malignant breast disease.
• Independently perform oncologic breast procedures including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, and sentinel node biopsy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast clinics and tumor conferences.
• Teach SSO Breast Surgical Oncology fellows, residents, UW medical students, and other trainees.
• Serve as a clinical leader at a UW community site in the Seattle area.
