Job summary

The University of Washington invites applications for a full‑time breast health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC) Campus. This Teaching Associate faculty appointment supports research, teaching, and service in a diverse academic community.

The APP will work four clinic days and one administrative day weekly, evaluate new breast issues, and manage pre/post‑operative care with opportunities for ongoing professional development in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• WA State RN licensure for ARNP or PA licensure.
• Graduate degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification as ARNP/PA and DEA eligibility.
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Prior surgical clinic or OR experience preferred; onboarding for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new breast complaints and manage high‑risk surveillance and pre/post‑operative patients.
• Perform in-office procedures and monitor for cancer progression or recurrence.
• Coordinate care with surgeons and peer APP colleagues as part of a treatment team.
• Collaborate with inpatient and outpatient teams; participate in rounds and committees.
