Cardinal Health, Inc. in Fresno, CA is seeking a Breast Nurse Navigator to coordinate patient care across imaging and the breast specialty clinic.

The role supports timely communication, streamlines diagnostic workflows, and serves as a single point of contact for patients and the multidisciplinary care team. The nurse will share time between the imaging center and clinic, assist with biopsies, coordinate consultations, triage calls, and help expedite workups for newly diagnosed patients while

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Eight years of RN experience, highly preferred.
• Current California Registered Nurse License
• CPR certification required.
• Strong customer service background, preferably in healthcare environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in computer processing functions and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to calmly and professionally resolve customer issues with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexibility with changing environments.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across imaging center and breast specialty clinic.
• Collaborate with radiologists during biopsies and follow-up calls.
• Obtain pathology results and communicate findings to physicians and patients.
• Serve as liaison between primary care and cancer care team.
• Coordinate consultations and expedite workups for newly diagnosed patients.
• Conduct post-operative calls to assess recovery and address concerns.
• Triage calls and direct patient needs to appropriate team members.
• Review results with patients and schedule follow-ups under physician direction.
• Support neoadjuvant therapy patients and help address barriers to treatment.
