Qualifications

• At least two years of line producing experience.
• You write for the ear and the eye, with urgent, editorial scripts.
• You understand audiences on phones and TVs and how to reach them.
• You analyze, adapt, and take calculated risks to improve coverage.
• You can make big calls in the heat of the moment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent real-world experience.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling newscasts and produce high-impact segments.
• Own the Big Story and identify what matters most to the Phoenix audience.
• Drive multi-platform engagement across digital, streaming, and social.
• Leverage graphics and video to create visually engaging segments.
• Lead with immediacy and make quick, decisive calls to keep coverage first.
