Job summary

Snooze Queen Creek is hiring a Prep Cook in Queen Creek, AZ. Earn [$16.50–$20.00/hour] with weekly pay, shift allowances, and benefits including insurance and 401(k). Must have 1 year in restaurants; 6 months in high-volume settings preferred.

Must be able to lift 50 lb, stand up to 10 hours, and be at least 17 years old. Responsibilities include ensuring quality and sanitation, knowing all menu items, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• High-volume restaurant experience preferred (6 months).
• Able to communicate clearly with teammates and management.
• Able to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 10 hours).
• All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served.
• Well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information.
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.
• Shows up on schedule and prepares, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, broilers, sauté, burners, ovens, and refrigeration equipment during and after service.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards and Snooze sanitation guidelines.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows opening/closing checklists for kitchen stations.
