Job summary

Summit Hospitality Group, Ltd. is seeking a Breakfast Host/Hostess to ensure a welcoming and high-quality continental breakfast service in our hotel operations.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, friendly service, cost control, waste management, and a sense of urgency as an ambassador of our brand’s core value that Service is the Ultimate Amenity. The breakfast host/hostess will work early mornings, manage coffee and food stations, and assist with setup, stocking, and cleaning to maintain

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/restaurant with major brand preferred.
• Exceptional people skills: ability to train others quickly and efficiently.
• Proficient with inventory control and waste management.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at work around 5:00 am or 6:00 am depending on opening.
• Prepare all standard hotel varieties of coffee and hot water for tea.
• Stock coffee stations and restock as necessary during shift.
• Prepare hot foods and bake items, and maintain buffet line with chafing dishes.
• Set up bakery items and fruit/yogurt stations.
• Monitor food levels, refresh as necessary, and clean breakfast areas.
• Greet guests during visits to the eating area.
• Break down and clean breakfast serving areas at close of breakfast.
• Dispose of exposed food items and ensure proper storage.
• Follow directions of the supervisor and complete brand-required training.
