Job summary

Johnson Hospitality Group in SAN MATEO, CA is seeking a Breakfast Cook/Attendant responsible for breakfast food preparation and setup, keeping the breakfast and related dining areas clean, and assisting in preparing meeting rooms and banquets as needed.

You will follow health codes, perform inventories, maintain stock, and ensure guest questions are answered with a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and comply with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Follow health department codes and hotel safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or place the breakfast food order
• Turn in delivery invoices to GM or audit receivables against delivery slip
• Prepare and set-up breakfast foods
• Conduct regular inventories of food and paper or hard goods used at breakfast
• Maintain the stock of breakfast foods and supplies during breakfast service
• Maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area during and after breakfast hours
• Record food temperatures and follow health codes
• Complete food safety certification
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms and banquets; maintain cleanliness
• Clean public areas daily according to standards
• Clean breakfast area tables and chairs as required
• Notify supervisors of problems with cleaning or equipment
• Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver timely
• Use LEARN model for guest recovery incidents
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor with guests
• Know hotel emergency procedures
• Follow hotel safety and quality assurance standards
• Manage keys properly; adhere to key control
• Log and store lost and found items with supervisor
• Accommodate guest special requests courteously
• Answer questions about hotel and local facilities
