Job summary

Le Meridian Element Salt Lake City is seeking a Complimentary Breakfast Cook to prepare items for our restaurant and lounge, following standardized recipes and safety standards. You will set up mise en place, operate kitchen equipment, and ensure timely breakfast service.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, presenting dishes attractively, assisting guests at breakfast stations, and supporting inventory and daily prep for the hotel outlets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years cooking experience, preferably high-volume.
• Food Handlers certification required.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for hotel outlets using standardized recipes.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment and maintain mise en place.
• Ensure sanitation, health, and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Greet guests and assist with breakfast service.
• Maintain and restock breakfast area and lounge.
• Pull sheets and manage inventory for dishes and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Follow supervisor directions and perform additional duties as assigned.
