Job summary

Luminary Hotel & Co in Spartanburg, SC seeks a Line Cook to support our kitchen across all F&B outlets, prep ingredients, plate dishes, and keep spaces clean to standards. You’ll work under chefs to ensure consistent quality and timely service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a restaurant or hotel kitchen, strong communication and teamwork, and a ServSafe certification (or ability to renew). High school diploma or higher is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen
• Working knowledge of cooking recipes, cuisines, and kitchen equipment
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to follow task requests
• Experience working collaboratively on a team
• Ownership in every task and accountability
• ServSafe certification or ability to gain/renew
• Proven ability to produce great food and maintain station cleanliness
• High school diploma or higher required

Responsibilities

• Basic vegetable and sauce preparation, minor butchery of proteins
• Line cook during meals under chefs’ supervision
• Prepare ingredients for regular menu and upcoming specials
• Plate dishes according to chef’s specifications
• Monitor inventory and inform chefs when to reorder
• Keep station organized, stock and rotate prep
• Assist others during busy service and maintain cleanliness
