Shamin Hotels is seeking a Breakfast Cook to join the Food and Beverage team. The Cook 1 will prepare high-quality dishes following established recipes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.

You will work at a station, collaborate with staff, and help ensure timely service while upholding food safety standards. This full-time role offers bi-weekly pay and opportunities to grow within the kitchen.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes to prepare a variety of dishes (appetizers, entrees, desserts).
• Measure and assemble ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality.
• Cook and season food items according to specified methods and techniques.
• Monitor cooking processes, temperatures, and times to avoid under/overcooking.
• Work on a specific station (grill, sauté, fryer) as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
• Inspect food for freshness, quality, and appearance before cooking.
• Taste and adjust seasoning to enhance flavor profiles.
• Monitor portion sizes and presentation to meet expectations.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including handling, storage, and labeling of items.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment, countertops, and floors.
• Monitor and record temperatures of storage units and cooking equipment.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and managers to ensure smooth coordination.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Support kitchen leadership in training new cooks and ensuring adherence to standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of low stock or malfunctions.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
