Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality in Savannah is seeking a Breakfast Attendant for the Food and Beverage Department. You will assist in preparing and serving meals for the employee cafeteria, maintain cleanliness and safety, and support daily cafeteria operations.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work with a team in a fast-paced hotel dining environment. Prior kitchen or cafeteria experience is preferred; on-site work with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a cook or cafeteria cook in hotel/restaurant.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and meals in employee cafeteria for associate meals.
• Coordinate daily menus with Chef.
• Prepare meals consisting of entrees, a vegetable, a starch, and salad bar.
• Manage portion control and avoid spoilage and waste.
• Complete set up and break down of cafeteria.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies and standards.
• Ensure food quality and safety standards are maintained daily.
• Perform opening duties: set up station, requisition items, transport from walk-in.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of station.
• Remove soiled wares and transport to dishwashing area.
• Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards and safety procedures.
• Work with all departments as part of a team.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
