Job summary

Portland Embassy Suites by Atrium Hospitality is seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant to help start the day for guests in Portland, OR.

You will prepare and present our complimentary breakfast, keep service areas clean, greet guests with a friendly attitude, and work with the team to ensure a smooth, safe dining experience while following health standards.

We offer competitive compensation ($17.00–$17.85/hr), health coverage, paid time off, 401(k) match, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Restaurant or guest service experience preferred.
• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and maintain a complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception.
• Keep buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment clean and stocked.
• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and handle questions professionally.
• Assist with light food prep, restocking, and bussing tables as needed.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards for a safe environment.
• Monitor food quality and proper storage during shifts.
• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly.
• Communicate updates during shift changes to stay aligned.
• Follow safety, security, and company policies and report issues.

Job Description

What You Will Do:

• Set the stage for a great guest experience by preparing, presenting, and maintaining our complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception

• Keep everything clean, stocked, and guest-ready—buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment

• Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude and handle questions or concerns quickly and professionally

• Jump in where needed—whether that’s light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or supporting bar/service areas

• Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and team members

• Monitor food quality, proper storage, and temperature standards throughout your shift

• Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly and efficiently

• Communicate key updates during shift changes to keep everyone aligned

• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, and report any issues as needed

What We Are Looking For:

• No experience? No problem! If you have a great attitude and love teamwork, we’ll teach you the rest

• Restaurant, customer service, or cashier experience preferred

• Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during your shift

• Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
