Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Assembler (Brazer) Technician to join the production team on the 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM). You will assemble cooling systems by brazing copper and other metals, following prints and wiring diagrams to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires interpretation of CAD models and assembly instructions, plus safety compliance. Starting pay is $24.23/hour with increases after 9 months and a $1.50/hour shift differential for the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Perform brazing and soldering of copper, brass, and other metal components in the fabrication of chiller assemblies.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and watercircuit per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms.
• Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.
