Welo Data is seeking detail-oriented Data Labeling Analysts to support speech and voice AI systems. This 100% onsite, full-time role pays $28/hour and requires U.S. work authorization. Candidates must be located in or able to commute to one of the listed cities including Boston.

You will evaluate model outputs, audit data and model behavior, and document findings with clear, concise feedback. The role emphasizes rigorous attention to detail and adherence to guidelines in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in data labeling, annotation, or content-focused work; or a Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification in a related field.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply guidelines consistently.
• Native-level fluency in Brazilian Portuguese.
• Strong written communication skills and language fundamentals.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and provide structured, high-quality feedback.
• Perform audit-based reviews of data and model behavior — identifying patterns, edge cases, and failure modes.
• Apply guidelines thoughtfully — and flag when they don't reflect real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to improving evaluation frameworks, not just executing them.
• Identify trends in model performance and communicate insights clearly.
• Participate in team discussions, calibrations, and stakeholder syncs.
• Partner with leads and cross-functional teams to refine quality standards.
• Document findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
