Job summary

The Glenview Public Library is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to lead visual design across print, digital, and signage. You will ensure brand consistency and manage production with a focus on timely delivery and budget adherence.

You will collaborate with the Communications Director and Communications Specialist to craft visual assets for the website, social media, and events, and may occasionally photograph library programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field required
• Minimum of five years’ experience working as a graphic designer, with progressive design and production responsibilities preferred
• High level proficiency with Mac computer and peripherals (printers, scanners, external hard drives)
• Advanced skills in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and production process of print materials, signage, and digital collateral for all departments, ensuring brand adherence and consistency while working with the Communications Director to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Closely collaborate with the Communications Specialist to create visual assets for the Library's website, social media, and other channels, and may occasionally serve as photographer for special library programs and events.
