Job summary

The Glenview Public Library’s Communications Department seeks a Graphic Design Specialist to bring visual storytelling to life, maintain brand integrity, and craft print, signage, and digital materials. You will collaborate with the Communications Director and Specialist to produce on-brand assets for the website, social media, and events, with occasional photography duties.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and at least five years of experience; the pay range is $49,627 to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field is required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a graphic designer with production responsibilities.
• Proficiency with Mac computers and peripherals (printers, scanners, external drives).
• Advanced skills in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Manage design and production of print materials, signage, and digital collateral across departments.
• Ensure brand adherence and consistency while collaborating with Communications Director to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Collaborate with Communications Specialist to create visual assets for the Library’s website and social media.
• Occasionally serve as library program photographer.
