Job summary

OCLC’s Design Team seeks a Senior Designer to craft high-impact visuals for a global library member audience, collaborating with executives, leaders, and teams across the world in a fast-paced setting.

You will develop a wide range of print and digital materials, help shape branding guidelines, and lead design projects with the Design Manager. The role emphasizes strategic thinking, user-focused design, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related design field.
• 5+ years professional design experience, preferably with a marketing or creative agency.
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
• Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
• Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines.
• Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.
• Knowledge of and ability to create templates for Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Design project management experience and organizational skills.
• Relevant marketing experience with strong technical knowledge of website development and design.
• Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking skills.
• Ability to engage stakeholders at various levels and champion large projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of print and digital media including brochures, flyers, postcards, and web.
• Contribute to the direction of and work within corporate branding guidelines.
• Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts.
• High-quality conceptualization, layout, and print production.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Amend final designs to gain full approval.
• Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, and product managers.
• Work on a large, global website with high visibility.
• Translate communication intent into visual form for print and digital.
• Lead the planning and implementation of design projects working with the Design Manager.
