Job summary

Ready Set Rocket, a Sia Company in New York, seeks a Director of Brand Storytelling to set narrative, content, and messaging strategies grounded in audience research and insights. You will guide work across creative, social, and media, ensuring cohesion from pitches through account lifecycles.

You will lead a team of strategists and freelancers, collaborating across departments to elevate the narrative and drive measurable outcomes aligned with client business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in storytelling, content strategy, or social-first brand strategy, including at least 3+ years at a director level or equivalent, managing people and freelance talent.
• Direct experience leading storytelling for new business pitches under pressure.
• Proven ability turning audience research into brand, social, and content strategy.
• Experience recruiting, briefing, and managing freelance SMEs or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Set brand narratives and content strategies for accounts and pitches.
• Maintain the throughline for each account: central idea, tone, and architecture.
• Develop messaging frameworks by persona based on audience segmentation.
• Author briefs for creative, media, and social teams and translate narratives across departments.
• Provide feedback to ensure work delivers on strategic promise and engages audiences.
