Our client is a premium heated coffee mug brand focused on building products that enhance everyday rituals. They're now expanding beyond mugs into the full coffee experience - new products, new categories, and a whole lot of storytelling to do. They're looking for a Brand Marketing Manager, with a killer visual identity / storyteller persona who can convey the "how it feels" behind the brand. This person will shape the narrative behind new product launches, brief and oversee the creative agencies, and make sure every asset from a social post to a product box feels unmistakably on-brand. The ideal candidate doesn't need to be a designer, but needs a genuine eye, a strong instinct for brand, and the ability to communicate clearly to the people making the work - and ability to be hands on as needed. Someone who has always been the person on a team who notices when something is slightly off and knows how to fix it, and is consistently thinking about what makes a brand, would be a great fit.
Brand Storytelling and Narrative
As the brand expands from mugs into a broader coffee ecosystem, someone needs to ensure it stays coherent and compelling across every new product and category. This person will help shape positioning, write creative briefs, build decks, and make sure the narrative connects - not just what's launching, but why it matters and how it fits.
Creative Direction and Asset Oversight
This person will be the brand's eyes and ears across all creative output - photo shoots, social content, ad assets, packaging, decks, and digital. They'll brief the agencies, attend shoots when needed, and review everything before it goes out - knowing when something is on brand and when it isn't, and able to say why.
New Product Launch Support
New products are coming this year and next. This person will help shape the brand story for each one, including positioning, visual direction, and copy - working closely with the Director of Marketing to execute the campaign. They're the creative engine behind a launch, while the Director of Marketing is the operational one.
Packaging and Physical Brand
The unboxing experience matters. This person will help oversee packaging design and physical brand touchpoints, working with vendors to make sure the product and the box feel premium and considered.
Campaign Creative
For seasonal moments and product launches, this person will develop the creative brief and visual direction, and work with agencies to bring it to life. They're not designing the final assets, but they're the one who knows what they should look and feel like.
