Qualifications

  • At least three years of CPG brand management experience with large-scale brands.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience collaborating with retailers, agencies, and business partners.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Job description

We are seeking a commercially minded Brand Manager to lead product strategy and day-to-day execution for a growing consumer brand. This role will protect brand integrity, deliver marketing excellence, and drive growth across retail and e-commerce through strong planning, cross-functional collaboration, and execution.

Responsibilities
Strategic and Commercial Leadership
  • Support the development and execution of strategic plans designed to increase brand growth and equity across product categories and sales channels.
  • Contribute to annual planning and forecasting to guide business priorities and the product roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to build the brand through product innovation, marketing initiatives, and emerging channels.
  • Ensure brand strategy and execution remain aligned with the company’s broader vision and commercial objectives.
Sales and Go-to-Market Execution
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to execute go-to-market strategies that maximize retail and e-commerce performance.
  • Co-develop retail activation strategies and promotional programs that drive velocity in collaboration with Sales, Creative, and Brand teams.
  • Ensure field marketing resources and sales materials consistently reflect brand standards and positioning.
Product Ownership and Innovation
  • Partner closely with R&D to ensure products meet brand, consumer, and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Innovation, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercialization teams throughout the product development and launch process.
  • Conduct competitive and category research to uncover consumer insights and whitespace opportunities.
  • Evaluate new product concepts for brand alignment, consumer relevance, and market potential.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Translate brand strategy into actionable plans that meet established timing, quality, and brand standards.
  • Serve as a key liaison among Brand, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to maintain cross-functional alignment.
  • Support demand planning, packaging timelines, and product readiness in partnership with Supply Chain and Operations.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
  • Monitor key brand performance indicators, including point-of-sale and panel data, market share, household penetration, repeat purchase rates, distribution, and consumer sentiment.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations that move the business forward.
  • Develop and present recurring performance reports, summaries, and dashboards.
  • Partner with Analytics to ensure relevant findings are shared with Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders and converted into appropriate business actions.
Qualifications
  • At least three years of CPG brand management experience, including demonstrated success supporting or leading a large-scale brand with annual revenue of $300 million or more.
  • Strong experience within brand-led product categories.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Experience collaborating with external stakeholders, including retailers, agencies, and business partners.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or another advanced degree preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Experience within the food or beverage industry is preferred.
  • Experience managing, launching, or scaling an emerging brand is preferred.
