Baseten is seeking a designer to shape how the brand looks and feels across campaigns, product launches, events, billboards and hiring materials. A strong candidate has a polished portfolio and can translate technical ideas into clear visuals while building design systems rather than one-off assets.

You will lead projects from idea to launch with engineers, product marketers and leadership, ensuring visuals stay credible to AI engineers and reflect Baseten’s brand voice across all channels.

The role is about shaping how Baseten looks and feels across campaigns, product launches, events, billboards and hiring materials. A strong candidate has a portfolio with very polished work, can turn technical ideas into clear visuals without dumbing them down, and has built design systems rather than only one-off assets. Leading projects from first idea to launch with engineers, product marketers and leadership is a big part of it.

How it fits the AI era

AI tools can speed up mockups, variations, resizing and early motion tests, so more of the day can go to judgment and taste. What stays human is deciding what the brand stands for, explaining a hard technical product in a way that feels honest, and knowing when something looks right or wrong. Because the audience is AI engineers, the visual voice needs to feel credible to people who see a lot of generated content.

How it builds AI experience

Working at an inference company means being close to the products behind well known AI tools, which gives a designer real context on what customers build and why speed and reliability matter. Someone could build this experience by learning how model serving works at a basic level, trying image and video generation tools in their own design process, and sitting in on launches with engineering and product marketing.
