Job summary

Midlands Technical College seeks an experienced Creative Director to lead the creative team within the Marketing and Communications Department. You will plan and coordinate creative services, production schedules, and brand implementation with substantial independence.

The role supervises a Senior Designer and a Designer, and collaborates with College leadership, the copy center, and external vendors to deliver cohesive branding across the institution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master’s degree and five–ten years of combined experience in advertising agencies, higher-education marketing, branding, or creative leadership.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, plus Canva.
• Knowledge of print and production methods and vendor landscape for printing, apparel, and promotional goods.
• Ability to learn, interpret, and apply state procurement requirements.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and develop creative staff; strong presentation and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative team, supervising a Senior Designer and a Designer.
• Plan production schedules and coordinate brand implementation across the College.
• Collaborate with College leadership, copy center, and external vendors.
• Serve as a senior creative and brand resource across Midlands Technical College.
• Ensure alignment with the College’s mission, programs, and policies.
