Job summary

Archipelago Companies, based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Brand Controller for melin within Tradewind Services. This in-house role partners with brand leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely closes, and consolidated results.

Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, CPA, 8–10 years of experience including Big 4, intercompany and consolidation know-how, and ERP proficiency. This role offers in-office hybrid work, competitive compensation, and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA is required.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 or national firm experience.
• Intercompany and consolidation experience in support of global brand expansion.
• Deep GAAP knowledge and ability to document complex accounting matters.
• Experience leading external audit relationships and managing a team.
• ERP systems experience (FullCircle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
• Experience with reporting/consolidation tools (Domo, Adaptive Insights) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the brand's financial statements and reporting packages for consolidation into Tradewind Services.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendar.
• Prepare brand-level financial reporting packages for Corporate Controller and brand leadership.
• Research and document brand-specific technical accounting matters and ensure policy alignment.
• Lead external audit interactions and maintain internal controls environment.
• Mentor and develop Accounting Managers, Senior Accountants, and Staff Accountants.
• Partner with FP&A and brand leaders on planning, cash management, and reporting needs.
