Job summary

Vortex Industries, LLC in Columbus, OH, seeks a Branch Manager for the Service Center to oversee daily operations, lead installation and service activities, and maintain exceptional customer service while ensuring a great workplace. You will report to the Regional Director, drive profitability through staffing, budgeting, and cost control, and develop continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires ten years in the door industry and at least five years in operations management with P&L

Qualifications

Minimum of ten years’ door industry experience and at least five years in operations management with P&L oversight.
Knowledge of budgeting processes and performance reporting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Self-starter, detail-oriented and well-organized.
Experience in outside sales and in-person customer business development.
Proven people development and conflict resolution skills.
Ability for technical applications, mechanically inclined, and problem solving.
Strategic thinking to translate business requirements into proactive actions.
Experience leading meetings and conducting annual performance reviews.
Adheres to ethical principles, values, code of conduct and policies.
Willing to work in a fiscally conservative organization and handle diverse responsibilities.
Travel: As necessary to job sites and company meetings.

Responsibilities

Manage Service Center operations, staffing, expenses, and relationships between management and employees.
Deliver a profitable operation by overseeing service center performance.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve service.
Drive operational excellence to improve quality, service, cost and safety.
Set a high standard for customer satisfaction at all service stages.
Ensure quality and timely service to maximize retention.
Manage key partner and customer relationships.
Allocate workload and manage resources to meet service center goals.
Hire, develop and retain employees and coach performance.
Provide strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Ensure documentation is submitted on time and align with company objectives.
Lead a culture of safety through awareness, training, and accountability.
Represent Vortex professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
