Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in achieving sales goals, deepening relationships, and ensuring service excellence at the Houston branch. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction, risk control, and staff development in a fast-paced banking environment.

The ABM will oversee daily operations, lending initiatives, and security procedures, while promoting a positive sales culture and self-service adoption among customers.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; BA degree and/or 2 years in Banking.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Customer Service/Sales/Branch Manager roles.
Knowledge: Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist Branch Manager in leading the branch to achieve sales goals through outbound calling, sales meetings, and coaching.
Supervise staff in daily tasks and personnel decisions.
Serve customers quickly, accurately, and confidentially according to the SouthState Bank Gold Service Standards.
Process loan applications and assist in delinquent loan collection.
Ensure branch security procedures and compliance with banking regulations.
Maintain neat appearance and professional workspace.
