Job summary

Citi in Paramus, New Jersey, is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker to assist in sales, account opening, and service delivery within the customer service team. The role focuses on building loyalty and increasing sales among individual consumers.

You will handle basic account openings, resolve service issues, and execute transactions in line with bank policies, while identifying sales opportunities and supporting branch activities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Previous Retail Banking or similar experience required
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers
• Provide service delivery to internal/external customers to resolve account service issues
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate
• Create sales opportunities out of service transactions and resolve customer issues promptly
• Support sales/service activities within the branch through seminars, micromarketing events, and campaigns
• Adhere to operational controls to ensure safety and security of assets
• Assess risk in business decisions while upholding compliance and ethics
