Job summary

TW Metals, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented QA professional to develop and coordinate product assurance programs across our metal distribution operations. You will inspect products, review supplier records, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality systems.

Responsibilities include process mapping, communicating findings to management and customers, and coordinating with vendors to improve quality and efficiency. Undergraduate degree or five years of experience required.

• Undergraduate degree, or five years' experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management and customers.
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak English.
• Ability to work with PC programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and coordinates product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties.
• Inspects products to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Examines suppliers records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
• Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, quality control system, and shipping/packing standards.
• Stamp marks of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examinations.
• Reviews technical problems and procedures and recommends solutions or changes in procedures.
• Process mapping to identify efficiencies in procedures.
• Visits and confers with representatives of vendors to obtain information related to supplier quality and capacity.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree, or five years' experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management and customers are a must for this position.
• Ability to read, write, and fluently speak the English language.
• Ability to comprehend concepts of moderate to high difficulty, and ability to communicate responses and actions related to these concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
