Job summary

South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) seeks a Branch Supervisor II to lead a Myrtle Beach branch, ensuring efficient daily operations and superior customer service. You will direct staff, conduct trainings, and manage audits to uphold policy compliance across offices.

You will supervise hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions, while coordinating knowledge testing and examiner utilization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience may be accepted.
• Must pass nationwide background check with fingerprints.
• CDL knowledge tests and related certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and coordinate day-to-day branch office operations.
• Audit offices and related entities within the agency's enforcement areas.
• Lead staff training on policies and procedures.
• Oversee knowledge testing and examiner utilization.
• Register applicants for motor voter or selective service as required.
• Reconcile daily activity reports and approve refunds.
• Manage cash handling and secure monies and documents.
• Assist the public with knowledge tests for driver and vehicle transactions.
• Maintain inventory and prepare requisitions and reports.
• Supervise personnel matters including hiring and performance reviews.
