Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking a Branch Operations Manager in Mount Kisco, NY to lead day-to-day branch activities, oversee teller operations, account opening support, and ensure accurate transaction processing with strong internal controls.

You will coach staff, manage scheduling, drive service-led sales, uphold risk and compliance standards, and contribute to the Branch Business Plan through clear communication and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a related banking role.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capability; working knowledge of bank products, policies, and regulations.
• NMLS registration required or ability to secure upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations (teller activities, account opening support, ATM balancing, night depository).
• Ensure accurate, efficient transaction processing and consistent service standards.
• Schedule staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and smooth daily operations.
• Coach and develop staff, strengthen engagement and accountability.
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints; guide clients to suitable products and services.
• Maintain branch policies, procedures, and fraud awareness; produce monthly audits and regulatory reports.
• Support development and execution of the Branch Business Plan; provide timely updates to leadership.
