Trustco Bank seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations and staff supervision at our New York–Cobleskill location. You will supervise tellers, ensure customer service excellence, and promote branch growth while maintaining compliance and accurate transactions.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and the ability to deliver tailored financial solutions to clients, including personal banking products and IRA services.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
• Strong customer service background.
• Cash handling expertise.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Team-oriented and able to thrive in collaborative environments.
• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Operational Leadership: act as Branch Manager in their absence, manage staff, ensure smooth daily operations.
• Team Supervision: oversee Head Teller and Teller teams with accountability for performance.
• Branch Branding & Growth: promote sales initiatives and strengthen branch identity.
• Customer Engagement: build relationships, resolve issues, ensure high satisfaction.
• Compliance & Accuracy: review transactions and ensure policy adherence.
• Performance & Standards: work toward branch KPIs, security and regulatory compliance.
• Professional Development: pursue training and ongoing banking education.
