Job summary

White Cap is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in California to support branch sales and operations, manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence, and implement strategies to drive profitability. The role requires 5+ years of experience, knowledge of construction products, and prefer forklift skills.

Bilingual Spanish is a plus, with responsibilities across procurement, inventory, shipping, and customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in branch sales/operations or similar roles.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in talent acquisition, development and retention of branch sales and operations staff.
• Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and drive sales & profitability strategies.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing and sales per company policies.
• Investigate customer complaints and resolve branch-level issues; ensure orders are billed correctly and timely.
• Schedule staff, analyze budgets and variances, and support counter/inside sales as needed.
