Job summary

White Cap is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Colorado to oversee branch sales and operations in the manager’s absence, drive profitability, and coordinate procurement, inventory, shipping, and warehousing. The role demands leadership of front-line teams and a track record of solving customer and operational issues.

The position requires 5+ years of experience, a focus on safety, and the ability to operate a company vehicle. Bilingual skills and forklift experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction supply, building materials, or industrial distribution.
• Working knowledge of branch operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse processes.
• Experience supporting or leading front-line teams (warehouse, counter, or inside sales).
• Demonstrated ability to resolve customer issues and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP or order management systems (Oracle preferred).
• Understanding of sales drivers, margins, and branch-level performance metrics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and working in OSHA-regulated environments.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manages the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and assists in developing sales strategies.
• Coordinates procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and sales per policies.
• Resolves branch-level problems, investigates inventory discrepancies, and adjusts as needed.
• Serves customers and supports counter and inside sales; ensures accurate, timely order billing; schedules staff and analyzes budgets.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in related roles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Operation of a company or personal vehicle and MVR check may be required.
