Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for an Assistant Branch Manager in California. This leadership role supports branch sales and operations, coordinates procurement, inventory, shipping and warehousing, and ensures accurate billing of sales orders.

The position requires 5+ years of experience, and operation of a company or personal vehicle with an MVR check. White Cap offers comprehensive benefits and generous time off to grow your career.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with sales order software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates.
• Manages the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and helps drive branch sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales per company policies.
• Investigate customer complaints (damaged items, overcharges, delays) and adjust resources accordingly.
• Manage branch-level problems, inventory discrepancies, and adjustments as needed.
• Serve customers and support counter/inside sales; ensure accurate, timely billing of orders.
• Schedule staff and analyze budgets and variances.
• Generally requires 5+ years of experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Operation of a company or personal vehicle; MVR check required and acceptable.
