Job summary

White Cap Supply Holdings, LLC. is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager in California to lead branch operations, drive sales, and manage staff in the manager's absence. The role requires strong experience in distribution, customer service, and inventory control.

You will coordinate procurement, shipping, receiving, and warehousing while ensuring accurate billing and budget analysis. The position also emphasizes safety, compliance, and the ability to mentor front-line teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a branch operations/management role.
• Experience in construction supply, building materials, or industrial distribution environments.
• Experience leading front-line teams (warehouse, counter, or inside sales).
• Ability to resolve customer issues and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP or order management systems (Oracle preferred).
• Understanding of sales drivers, margins, and branch-level performance metrics.
• Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA environments.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) and forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations staff.
• Manage the branch in the Branch Manager’s absence and help drive sales and profitability.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and sales per policies.
• Investigate customer complaints and adjust resources as needed.
• Manage branch-level operational issues and inventory discrepancies.
• Support customers and drive accurate, timely billing of sales orders; schedule staff and monitor budgets.
